Silver Shoes For Women
2Recently when i have been going out on the town I have noticed an increase in the amount of women wearing silver shoes. It was only a couple of years ago when silver shoes for women were far from in fashion, i mean nobody ever wore them.
However recently i decided to purchase a pair to see if they would go with any of my outfits because a few of the women i saw wearing the silver shoes looked fab. The shoes i brought are below along with a few others that I really like:
My Shoes
Some other silver shoes I really like:
1) These shoes can be found at amazon.com and also Jane Norman
2) I saw these shoes in river island and fell in love with them. What do you think?
I would love to hear your thought on silver shoes as I have always found them “out of fashion” but after doing just a quick search online there are so many fabulous pairs that i can’t stop buying them!
Plus Size Maxi Dresses
0I am absolutely fed up with the fashion industry! Why is it that everywhere you go, everywhere you look there are pictures of skinny size zero women!
Now, I don’t want to harp on about this as I know that there have been many complaints about the use of very skinny women in the fashion industry, with many people alleging that these fashion guru and promoters are increasing the number of anorexic and eating disorder sufferers.
Although this is the case and I have to say that lately there has been a slight increase in the fashion’s industry’s attempts to start to cater for the larger woman, my main gripe is not only over the lack of availability and style but actually over the sizing process too.
Every single shop I have visited lately appear to have their own interpretation of what a size 14 16 18 or 20 actually is!
I am a size 18 in some shops, cannot get into a size 20 in others and can squeeze into a 14 too!!
I have been looking for a plus size maxi dress for my spring wardrobe and have got totally fed up with the high street!
Yes there are a few shops that cater for the larger woman, including high street chain stores such as Evans but when you are looking for plus size maxi dresses you seem to be penalised for not wanting to look like a human skeleton!
I love my curvy figure and my husband loves it too so why should I bow down to fashionista pressure just because plus size maxi dresses are not in abundance!
So, after a rather disappointing shopping trip to the high street and then on to the largest shopping centre in my area I decided that it would be worth a look online.
Oh my goodness – there are hundreds of sites not only selling the odd plus size maxi dress but loads of plus size clothing.
America seems to be one of the top countries for plus size woman fashion – VIVA USA – that is what I say!
So, once you have found what you are looking for there are a few little tips that i think are worth sharing with you lovely ladies before you order.
Remember earlier on this post I mentioned my dismay at the array of size interpretations that there are; this is a problem. When ordering on line clearly you are not able to see if the company you are ordering from is generous with their material/sizes or not.
So please check the returns and postage policy. I found a few plus size maxi dresses but not all of the companies allowed free returns and I certainly did not want to have to pay for postage just because a company was tight on its material!
A lot of the websites do have a size chart that indicates the measurements. Do check this out and also double take your own measurements too. Most of the companies have an email and are quite happy to answer any questions that you may have so ask them the question regarding their sizes! They would rather send you something that is going to fit and that you will be happy with, then sending you a plus size maxi dress that is too small and not enough plus! When they have returns this costs them money and time in sorting and repacking so an email is a cheaper option.
